May/June Las Vegas Dates postponed...

April 08, 2020

Sting’s Las Vegas residency performances scheduled for May 22 through June 6 at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace are being rescheduled in accordance with recommendations from the CDC regarding hosting events. We apologize for any inconvenience this poses to ticket holders. Guests are advised to hold onto their tickets as they will be honored for the rescheduled dates and those details will be sent out as soon as possible. Sting looks forward to opening his “My Songs” Vegas residency August 15th, with shows through September 2nd on sale now. Thank you for understanding.

Ticketmaster/Livenation Refund Policy
I reached out to a law firm that is considering a class action lawsuit against Ticketmaster over it's "postponement" refund policy (do a Google search and you'll find it quickly). Based on that lawsuit, Live Nation announced a new refund policy taking effect May 1st that will provide refunds for certain rescheduled or indefinitely postponed shows: https://www.livenationentertainment.com/ticketrefund/. Under this new policy, they will open a 30-day refund window 60 days after the postponement was announced. I'll be contacting Ticketmaster June 9th, which is 61 days after we were notified of the shows being postponed on April 8th. Hope this is helpful info for all of the fans wanting a refund processed in a timely manner.

Las Vegas Concert 27th May
I had purchased 4 tickets for this concert through Premium Seats USA but as the concert is only postponed we are only being offered seats for a future date. As we are now only 5 days away from the concert there has been no further advice. As I live in Thailand, I had organized a specific trip to Las Vegas for this concert and will not be able to re-arrange for any future date and unlikely we will be able to, or want to, travel that distance in 2020 due the Covid 19 crisis. My flights have been cancelled and refunded as well as the hotel, so come on and do the right thing and cancel the concert so that we can get a refund. We will of course look at a future date to see Sting but not until after 2021. Thanks Nigel and Bridget Ashton UK citizens and pensioners living in Thailand

We need refunds!
It is totally unacceptable that there is no way to receive refunds on tickets for this residency. Sting may be rescheduling but no other schedule is going to work for me. It is really not okay that I have tickets for five days from now and have gotten no information about the new schedule or how I can get refunded. There is no safe way for me (or others!) to travel and be in a concert situation on the rescheduled residency dates in August and September. We are all dealing with the fall-out of the covid-19 pandemic. Sting needs to as well. I am really very disappointed.

Refunds
Hi Guys, I've 2 bookings with Ticketmaster US for June 5th. Like all those travelling from afar, absolutely gutted We can't travel from The UK, and take in what would've been an awesome gig. It is so annoying the gig is postponed and not cancelled. I was going to Aerosmith the night before also. They cancelled their gig and have already refunded me $500, and we are supposed to be offered first dibs at a potential rescheduled gig too. Surely the way forward for Sting and The Fans. But here's the thing. Of those two bookings for the gig on June 5th. 1 booking is 3 seats and the other is 1 seat, as we added an extra traveller later on. Ticketmaster gave the option on their website for a refund for the single seat. So I took it, and Ive been paid back already. So it would appear refunds are out there amongst the chaos. Just waiting for movement on the other booking now. I live in hope. Also trying to hound Virgin Atlantic for Airline fees too. Stay safe People

We are sending out an SOS
Please refund these life long fans. I am from his home town and I am so surprised this is happening. Please let Sting see all these comments. You need to update people on the situation.

Please give us an update!
We all understood when the May date was cancelled and new dates were coming soon. However, it's been weeks with no update, and no option to get a refund for fans that need one. Please resolve this soon and communicate with your fans, so they can get a refund or at least know what dates their tickets are being rescheduled to. Thanks!

Making Money from Misery
OK, now let me see if I have this right. Sting, the 7th wealthiest pop star worth in the vicinity of USD400million, has made the decision to not make any refunds of tickets. Is he so mean spirited and dedicated to making money out of misery that he cannot afford to refund tickets? I as a 70 year old pensioner must forgo the price of two tickets to ensure that Sting maintains his position as the 7th wealthiest pop star, or heaven forbid manages though making money from misery boosts his ranking to 6th wealthiest pop star or even higher up the wealth list. I will be 70 years old on 22 May 2020 and my wife is a chronic asthma sufferer which means that we are both in the highest risk category. If either of us contracts Covid-19 there is a very high probability that we may die. Is it true that the Sting organisation has the right to nominate a date of its choosing sometime in the future when I must travel internationally for 11 hours in an aircraft to a country that has the highest number of Covid-19 confirmed cases and the highest number of recorded deaths or forfeit the entire cost of my tickets? The Australian Government has imposed a ‘do not travel’ ban which is a legally binding restriction upon all Australian citizens and permanent residents. Do you understand that Brisbane, Queensland, Australia is not situated in North America and that it is not possible to drive 14,800 miles from the South Pacific to Las Vegas? Surely you must have the discretion to approve a 100% refund to international fans.

Offer option to request refund on postpo
Was looking forward to your May concert in Vegas; however, with covid hotels are closed and concert postponed. It's still early and nobody knows what to expect. My hotel got cancelled for this concert date and I cancelled my airfare. I noticed my Rolling Stone concert tickets for May were postponed too BUT they offered an option to cancel or wait for the rescheduled date. Can we get the same option for your concert? It's an unsure world and everyone affected. I guess I can look at my ticket insurance but it seems like the best option is to give your fans an option to postpone or cancel as well. Your fans would appreciate it.

Please Cancel Las Vegas - some of us can
I hold excellent tickets for May 27th and we have both lost all income from our work and are living in Florida. So traveling to Las Vegas is no longer an option and with postponing the show we are stuck with the tickets and at the mercy of scheduling. You know every show will sell out so why not do the right thing and Cancel the show and allow many of us to get a refund on our tickets. IF we can travel and see our Beloved Sting - trust me we will. Sometimes just because you can (postpone) doesn't mean you should ! Thanks, trusting in the right decisions! Best to you all, Clara & David Reeves

Any updates?
We all understand the uncertainty. Can you please say SOMETHING? It's been a month. Something like, "We're unsure if we'll cancel or reschedule for next year," or "We're trying to work out details with Ticketmaster," or, "We're inundated with requests for information and we can't get to them all." Anything? Much love! Thanks.

Postponed June Las Vegas Show(s)
So sad to say that we will be unable to make the postponed show date. We chose 6/6/20 on the day the tickets were released online in 2019 and it was meant to be a graduation present for our Sting fan teenage son, and a quick trip to Vegas. The new schedule sadly falls back into the regular school schedule and simply cant be adhered to, by many of us Sting fans, especially those traveling from further away. Luckily enough we caught the show at Hard Rock in Ft Lauderdale a few months ago, and despite it was the 'Sting in a Sling show' (no guitar play due to recovery from shoulder surgery), it was a awesome. Las Vegas events, and residencies are sell-out events, no matter what! Refunds would please so many ticket holders AND people who can actually attend the show during their LV Visit. Can we just work on that for the all the true Sting Fans who are unable to be there? Thanks!

Please cancel your Vegas show and provide credits for everyone. That makes the most sense in a city like Las Vegas. There will be thousands of people that travel from all over to come to LasVegas once we get back to normal. Your shows will fill up even sell out, but I will not be attending. Not sure when I will be able to visit Las Vegas. Too tough this year.... Thank you ST

15 August show
10 of us girlies are heading to see the 15th August show from Alberta, Ontario and Quebec. Currently, this is now Stings first show .. I bought the tix on the day they were released a year ago! We have been waiting for this trip for such a long time, but most are now hesitate to travel and 3 are teachers so may not be able to travel if this show is postponed. I guess we just stay tuned to this news channel and play it by ear.

Expected Reschedule/Cancel Announcement
Vegas was going to be an involved trip for me to get there and a lot of pieces had to fall in place as I would be making the trip from Canada. Work, personal commitments etc.. Too bad this has happened. FYI I had booked hotels and flights through expedia, I cancelled them on line when it was announced the May Vegas shows would not be held. I received an immediate full refund on the Hotels and the airline offered an equivalent credit good for 1 year. Good Luck everyone hopefully your travel costs are resolved quickly. The answer to a lot of the questions is on the Help page. Question: What happens if a show is re-scheduled or cancelled? Answer:Your tickets will be honored at the rescheduled date, but if you cannot attend the new date or the show is cancelled, you will receive a refund. As sting.com members and most all of us supporting Sting from the Police days right up until present, Sting.com support/Tina should have some ability to fast track a refund to the members that paid early in good faith during the pre sale . Fingers crossed hopefully there will be a refund issued soon I cannot imagine how tough it is for the fan club administrators, promoters and everyone that has been disrupted by this pandemic.

Please cancel rather than postpone the s
We love Sting and have been looking forward to this for so long. Please consider cancelling the May and June concerts so that a full refund is possible for these tickets. Everything has changed for all of us with this pandemic and the thought of rescheduling to travel by air and arrive in a highly populated area to attend a concert with 100’s of people is something I will not want to do until we know a tested vaccination is available. In the meantime we invested a good portion of money into these tickets that can be used for other things right now to make a difference in our community. I am an essential worker and it is unlikely I could travel as I am needed where I live for an unanticipated length of time.

Expected Reschedule/Cancel Announcement
I have been checking Ticketmaster and this site almost daily to see if there's at least a due date for the announcement when the reschedule/cancel will be made public. As I've read through the numerous posts, I don't believe I've seen any replies. I think everyone is very understanding of the global situation, but communication is KEY, even to let people know when the decision is expected. Simply going dark and/or ignoring posted questions doesn't seem appropriate; Not with what people have invested to see one of these shows. It may be unreasonable to ask for the specific dates for which these shows will be rescheduled (assuming they'll be rescheduled)... But informing fans/public of the date a decision is expected to cancel or reschedule does not seem unreasonable.

Will this show take place 2021?
I've contacted ticket master and they don't know anything. I have tickets for may 29. We need to know the new date or if the show will be cancelled. I got hotel and airlines tickets purchased. I've been trying to contact Expedia to either cancel my trip or ask for a credit on my account but I have to wait 10 days before my trip. This whole situation is insane.

Vegas shows
The old normal will not be here in August or September. There is no way thousands of people will attend a concert in Vegas then. People do not feel safe, especially for a concert. There is no way people will be flying and flocking to Vegas for sun and fun. People now need the money and have more important things to worry about. Please get real, how are you going to sing with a mask on..
