Sting stuns crowd in sold-out KL show...

The 72-year-old rockstar brought together a mix of hits as part of his My Song international tour for his fans, who had waited 18 years for his return.

The British music legend kickstarted the two-hour show with "Message in a Bottle", a classic of the late 70s from The Police, of which Sting was a former member and one of the primary songwriters for the well-known rock band.

During the encore, he was accompanied by an electric rock ensemble with his son, Joe Sumner (also a singer-songwriter and his opening act).

Fans gave Sting rousing applause throughout each song.

He came onstage in style, clad in a body-hugging T-shirt, skinny jeans and combat boots - his trademark punk rock look.

Sting serenaded the crowd with "Englishman in New York", "Desert Rose", "Fields of Gold", "Brand New Day", "Every Little Thing She Does Is Magic" and "Every Breath You Take" and a more current "What Could Have Been" (a remorseful song produced in tandem with the Netflix show "Arcane" based on the popular "League of Legends" game).

Sting invited former backing singer Gene Noble to take the lead in an updated rendition of "Roxanne".

The crowd chanted for Sting to close the night with the iconic single.

Concertgoers got even more excited as soon as the song's guitar riff echoed through the venue.

It was an interesting sight to witness, given how the song was written from the point of view of a man who fell in love with a particular "Lady of the Night".

Sting added an extra song performance to properly close the show through "Fragile" for his encore.
